PASSENGER SHIP PRINCE CAROL I
On October 10, 1941, at about 11:50 am, after leaving the port of Varna, loaded with mines, Carol fell into a mine and sank in 13 minutes, 2 miles from Cape Galata. The mine was part of the barricades laid by the Soviet L-4 submarine in September.
