PASSENGER SHIP PRINCE CAROL I

On October 10, 1941, at about 11:50 am, after leaving the port of Varna, loaded with mines, Carol fell into a mine and sank in 13 minutes, 2 miles from Cape Galata. The mine was part of the barricades laid by the Soviet L-4 submarine in September.

Narrow rocky nose. Here we dive to the sunken French cargo ship Jacques Fersene. It is broken into two parts – depth 18-25 meters. The back lies on the sand, you can see the steam boilers. 14 km from Primorsko. “The propeller is visible at the front.” Sea crows are often seen in the holes.
