PADI Scuba Diver

The PADI Scuba Diver course is a subset of the PADI Open Water Diver course.

If you’re short on time but really want to become a diver, the PADI Scuba Diver rating might be right for you ̶ particularly if you expect to go scuba diving primarily with a dive guide.

This course is an intermediate step for earning an Open Water Diver certification, if that’s your ultimate goal.

Our process

No prior experience

No prior experience with scuba diving is required, but you can try it first through the Discover Scuba Diving program.

To enroll

To enroll in a PADI Scuba Diver course (or Junior Scuba Diver course), you must be 10 years old or older. You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health.

Dives

The first three of five dives of the Open Water Diver course in the pool and two of four dives of the Open Water Diver course in open water.

Get certificate

For certification you only need to complete the first three sections, but have a year to complete the whole program if you choose to go on to earn your PADI Open Water Diver certification.

PADI Scuba Diver Certificate

The PADI Scuba Diver course is an abbreviated version of the PADI Open Water Diver course for those who have less time to get certified, or for those who, for some reason, cannot finish off the full course during their stay in Varna.

The Scuba Diver Course is the first 3 theory modules, the first 3 confined water training sessions and the first 2 dives of the Open Water course.

This certification is to a maximum of 12 meters and all subsequent fun dives have to supervised by a PADI professional. A Scuba Diver can always upgrade to a full Open Water certification at a later date.
